Good2 know... Why multiple QR codes?

Updated: Feb 21, 2023

Knowing which of your campaigns or messages are converting donations lets you focus on what works.

It's all about analytics.

What is best:

One or Many QR codes?

Your Giv2 QR code is just an image. The magic comes from the unique code imbedded in the combination of black dots. When someone scan this and completes a donation - our system knows exactly which QR code was used... yours! (*1)

One QR

As an image, it means you can add this Giv2 QR to every bit of communication you send out.

Think:

emails, pamphlets, posters, online ads, supporters' websites, your website, promo gear, volunteer's lanyards and more.

We will always know it was your QR code they scanned.

Multiple QR codes

Now imagine you had a different QR code on each of your communications. You could know which one of your messages converted the donation.

  • Do people respond better to poster A or B?

  • Is your Facebook or Instagram doing better?

Get the benefit of feedback on how much people engage with your different messages, or the locations where you get a better response. How about knowing how much each volunteer converted, or which donation station at your next event received the most donations?

Pivot mid-campaign to drop the things that don't work and double-down on those that do.

Good2 know: In your monthly report you even get to see the time and date of each donation - this further helps you identify trends and what works for you.

PS. Selling something?

Giv2 offers two types of QR codes. Donation or Contribution QRs.

Use a Contribution type QR to let them pay cashless-ly and contactless-ly (yes, we making up words too) for the sausage sizzle, raffle ticket etc. We'll send your donor the appropriate receipt type.
