Mini-update: March 2021

Updated: Feb 9, 2023

We're super excited to share some great news: During April, Giv2 is going to be part of a national fundraising program, and this could benefit you as well.

But first, we've been hard at work these last few months and have some exciting things planned for the year ahead.

Here is a taste of things to come:

Stripe alternative

We currently use Stripe to secure, manage and process all donations made via Giv2. This is a great option. Giv2 has however also started working with a New Zealand provider that can offer more options and may result in lower overall credit card fees for charities.

We'll provide more on this in a later update.

Changes under-the-hood

We are in the process of re-platforming Giv2. This will make Giv2 stronger, more secure, and more agile. The first of multiple stages is targeting a Go Live in April. Initially, donors will see very little, but this sets us up to deliver a host of new features and capabilities in the future.

So keep an eye out for updates

Donor number

This has been a pet project of mine. The goal is simple: You should be able to link donations from your regular donors via Giv2 with the donor number you have for them in your CRM. This is important to your donor relations and will become an alternative to cheques as they disappear this year.

I can't wait to share more on this soon...

The BIG news

Giv2 has been selected by a major NZ bank and their National Charity partner to be the QR code donation system for their upcoming annual fundraising campaign - nationwide!!

This will create significant awareness about Giv2 - which means your existing Giv2-QRs will become more recognisable.

We'll be able to share more details soon. In the meantime, we are super stoked about helping this great 'household-name' fundraising organisation.

More on this later this month - so keep an eye out.

Thanks for checking out our latest updates.

Giv2 is on a mission:
