Good2 know... optimise your Giv2 donation page

Some simple things to make your Donation page look great

Logo vs Campaign image

  • Your Logo is always the default image shown on your donation pages.

  • If you load a Campaign specific image, all the QRs under this campaign will display this image instead of your logo.

We recommend:

For your general and brand specific campaigns - sticking to just your Logo. For key campaigns, one-off events, or campaigns with their own unique look/feel - use a campaign specific image.

Image Size

For best effect make sure your image is twice as wide as it is tall.

  • 2x wide by 1x tall

  • Size: 250KB - 1.5MB

  • Landscape

  • might as well us all the space you

We recommend:

If your logo is not landscape, put it on a white or complimentary colored background.

Your descriptions

Like your Logo or Campaign image:

  • You can have a general "Mission statement or a short and sweet "what-we-do" type description as your default.

  • And when needed, a Campaign specific message.

We recommend:

You've got the donor's attention, they've scanned your code, ready to donate. Now consider what you want to say. Is this the time to give them your full heartfelt purpose or a quick key message?

"... a rose by any other name..."

Campaign Name

  • This should reflect the "real world" campaign you are running, and ideally match the key message people would have seen alongside the QR.

  • If this is a generic campaign then: "Support our Mahi" is a popular campaign name.

QR Name
  • Ideal to use when you have multiple QRs under a broader campaign.

  • For example, if your campaign is an event, have different QRs for each of the stations or tables at your event. Then name your QRs to match (face painting, sausage sizzle, drinks).

  • Alternatively, the name can be hidden if you choose.

We recommend:

Campaign names reassure people they are supporting the campaign they though they were. QR names helps you track where the QR was, so your analystics makes more sense.

Final thought:

By the time someone sees your Giv2 donation page, they have already scanned the QR code from one of your messages... so what imagery and message will help them take that final step of completing the donation?
